Dr. DeVane has a deep understanding and first hand experience of the alarming prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and the associated financial barriers that prevent many from accessing necessary care, he aims to bridge this gap and make tangible impacts on people’s lives.
Dr. DeVane is the Founder and CEO of The Heart Smart Foundation and is driven by the mission of promoting cardiovascular health, raising awareness about preventive measures, and ensuring equal access to important diagnostic tests, educational resources, and treatment options for underserved populations. The foundation will work in collaboration with healthcare providers, community organizations and corporate sponsors to maximize its impact.
Objectives:
The foundation will offer financial support to individuals who cannot afford the cost of cardiovascular testing, such as basic and advanced cholesterol testing, electrocardiograms, stress tests, echocardiograms, and coronary artery calcium tests. This assistance will ensure that they receive timely and accurate diagnoses,
allowing for the initiation of appropriate treatments.
Through community workshops, seminars, and online resources, we will focus on educating individuals about cardiovascular health, risk factors, and preventive measures. By raising awareness, we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices that reduce the incidence of cardiovascular diseases.
The foundation will actively support research initiatives focused on cardiovascular health, partnering with academic institutions and medical professionals.
